After working solo on this play intermittently for about five years, Scars Over Berlin is finally being produced in 2019. With many thanks to Hiraeth Theatre Company, Scars Over Berlin is starting its developmental process tonight with the first of a series of table reads with actors so I may get a sense of where the play currently sits and what still needs work. After some initial edits, Scars Over Berlin heads to a quick workshop process in the spring, followed by a full production in summer 2019. I am looking forward to working with some of the actors who performed Park Place this summer and fall, and owe a great debt of gratitude to all the actors participating in this unglamorous but crucial step in the playwriting process.
Get your tickets for Park Place at the Players Theatre Short Play Festival! Tickets available at a discount through this link or by using code CAST at checkout for $10 off.
Park Place is part of week two, running October 18-21. Shows are at 7pm Thursday-Saturday and 3pm on Sunday.
I believe in paying actors and all other creatives! This is currently an entirely self-funded, self-produced project. If you would like to donate to the cause of paying artists, please reach out through my CONTACT page or you may send donations directly to @hardrockhope on Venmo.
Hope to see you at the show!
The undead never truly die… I am happy to announce that Park Place, seen this summer at the LIC One Act Festival, has been accepted into the Players Theatre Short Play Festival this October. Park Place will be a part of week two, running October 18-21. If you missed us before (or want to see us again!) tickets and more information are available here.
Keep an eye out as we will be hosting a fundraiser party this time around to be able to continue to pay the creatives involved in the project.
